Bass player Logan Coale’s projects are equally in the pop and rock music and classical music worlds. He has recorded for Taylor Swift and Aaron Dessner, toured and recorded with Natalie Merchant, The National, Lanz Projects, and Jesse Marchant, and is a member of The Knights Chamber Orchestra and contemporary music group NOW Ensemble. He has performed with Bon Iver (Justin Vernon), Gail Anne Dorsey, Alexi Murdoch, Aaron Dessner, My Brightest Diamond, Lisa Hannigan, Talos, and Helado Negro, and is often a guest musician of the Silk Road Ensemble, The St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, The Mark Morris Dance Group, ECCO, A Far Cry Chamber Orchestra, International Contemporary Ensemble, and Alarm Will Sound. He was bass player for the Broadway show Tootsie. Logan studied classical double bass with Todd Seeber and Edwin Barker of the Boston Symphony and grew up in Portland, Oregon. He lives in Cold Spring, New York.
